We are building walls
Tall and strong like the Great Long Walls
We never care when the winter falls
nor we mind why the river hauls

We are building walls
to hide our agony and smuggle thy louse
without a shame and without a pity
we keep building walls

To know what gnaws at thy mind
the sounds of the knocks that grind
we sit and despair what’s spoken at our hind
to that we shut ourselves into the blind

We keep building building dear walls
With more pride and selfdom brawls
Never hearing a brick or boulders
that crawls through our lone shoulders

We are building walls
Tamed with defeat we build docile walls
Pained with woe and denied of love
We keep building high walls
