The spinning goof

When things just don’t fall right
wait until the fall of night

Take time to stare up into the sky
as the clouds roll by

Way past the trees, deep into the twinkle stars
where we fancy making wars

Witness the grandstand of the open sky
up above and high, get thrilled like you were a butterfly!

So sly to dance, but shy to sing
as imperfect as it cannot sting

Let’s trap some stars, spot some patterns
wink at the moon and feel the wind

For we are one and the same under this roof made of no spoof
which reminds us how small we all are in this spinning goof.
